FC Metz set off on Sunday to attack OM and its Vélodrome stadium

Another big piece for FC Metz. This Sunday, on the occasion of the 13th day of Ligue 1, the Garnets (19th) move on the lawn of the Olympique de Marseille (3rd). Kick-off at 1 p.m.

After its draw against AS Saint Etienne last weekend (1-1), the club at the Cross of Lorraine challenges one of the most surprising formations of this championship. Objective of the Garnets, just before a new international break: to take at least a small point.

FC Metz, which remains on two consecutive defeats on the road, in Lens and Angers.

The Metz infirmary is almost empty: Only the defender Sikou Niakaté is forfeited for this trip to Marseille.

OM is a hit!

With six wins, four draws and only two losses against Lille and Lens, the OM of Jorge Sampaoli, made a good start to the season, in a very spectacular and explosive style.

With a Dimitri Payet found (6 goals in Ligue 1) and the revelation Mattéo Guendouzi, the Marseille club has regained the sympathy of its supporters. The Vélodrome appreciates the game on offer and asks for more.

Be careful, however, of overheating! The Marseillais played, Thursday evening, in the Europa League, against Lazio of Rome (final score: 2 to 2). And the philosophy advocated by the Argentine coach of OM is very energy intensive.

OM loves receiving our Garnets

Historically, FC Metz has hardly succeeded at the Stade Vélodrome. Garnets won only 7 games on Marseille soil and they lost 43 times in the boiling Marseille enclosure.

OM – FC Metz, 13th day of Ligue 1, kick off at 1 p.m., this Sunday, November 7. Pre-match on France Bleu Lorraine and Francebleu.fr, with comments from Thomas Jeangeorge
