An FBI report into a 2016 domestic violence incident on a private plane was released this week and the complainant’s name is now known: actress Angelina Jolie.

According to this six-page report, the facts occurred on September 14, 2016 during a flight between the south of France and California. Under the influence of alcohol, Brad Pitt would have taken his wife to the toilet and then “grab her by the head, shaking her. He also reportedly shouted that she was “fuckin’ this family” (” You’re fucking up this family “). Their son Maddox, then 15, reportedly intervened to rescue his mother. Pitt also allegedly poured beer over Angelina Jolie, who injured her elbow in the altercation. The dispute allegedly took place in front of the couple’s six children.
Six days later, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce.

Note that according to the report, the Assistant United States Attorney and the Deputy Chief of the United States Criminal Division discussed this case in November 2017, before dismissing it.
