Fast Food with Japanese sauce at Kyoto Express in Tarbes

The Kyoto Express is the project of a young couple from Tarbes Julie Douchement and Mickaël Genais, as well as their partner Florian Daveau.

Lovers of travel, they discovered in Japan a rich and varied traditional cuisine, very different from what can be found in general in France.

It was then a trip to the United States that introduced them to the concept of Fast Food adapted to traditional Japanese cuisine. They then decided to launch the concept in France with Kyoto Express

Traditional Japanese cuisine

Directly importing products from Japan, Kyoto Express offers the opportunity to discover Japanese gastronomy, between chirashi, ramen, orange chicken and many dishes obviously based on rice and typical Japanese sauce such as curry with Katsu Curry.

The sweet treats are not to be outdone and the homemade Bubble Tea from the Kyoto Express is already one of the restaurant’s must-haves.

A concept that pleases

The project, which took two years to become a reality, has been thought out down to the smallest detail. Graphic charter, logo, decoration, everything was done taking inspiration from the Japanese fast food chains existing in the United States. Launched in Tarbes, the city of origin of the 3 partners, the success is dazzling. Requests are already coming from all over the southwest to develop a franchise.

An ambition that Julie Douchement, Mickaël Genais, and Florian Daveau assume, even if they want to take their time, not intending to make any concessions on the quality of the cuisine they offer.

Kyoto Express is at 80 rue Maréchal Foch in Tarbes and on Instagram
