Sarah-Maude Beauchesne, new face of Reitmans
1/2
Sarah-Maude Beauchesne is the new face of Reitmans for the fall collection. The author, actress and screenwriter is teaming up with the Montreal brand to launch the “100% me” campaign, which focuses on timeless clothing that combines comfort and aesthetics. For Sarah-Maude Beauchesne, fashion should be authentic and comfortable. Her go-to look? White T-shirt and jeans, a timeless style that we wear again and again, she explains in promotional videos for Reitmans. When she writes, she says she likes soft and loose clothing. And as for her 100% denim look, she says she feels elegant, free to move, and that it’s a look she’ll wear again and again.

There revenge dress by Jennifer Lopez
1/2
Jennifer Lopez reminded us a few days ago of the concept of revenge dress : to carry a beautiful dress as symbol of a new beginning. On the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, she wore a spectacular metallic gown by Tamara Ralph, a dress that signified that her recent divorce is already a thing of the past and that she feels more beautiful than ever in her new life, without Ben Affleck.
The term of revenge dress was first heard in 1994, when Lady Diana, separated from Prince Charles for two years, went to a charity event in London. A few hours before the event, he confessed in a television interview that he had been unfaithful to her, before their separation. On the evening of June 29, 1994, Lady Diana arrived at the party wearing a superb black low-cut dress designed by designer Christina Stambolian that revealed her shoulders, not respecting the dress code of the royal family, and thus showed that she was a free and independent woman. This dress became famous and, above all, a symbol of renewal and affirmation. It has been described as revenge dress, a term that has stuck ever since. It has been attributed to other personalities, such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and even Jennifer Aniston who wore a sumptuous dress shortly after her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005.

Tested and approved: repair serum
Is your facial skin feeling tight? Has the sun, the fatigue of this crazy back-to-school season, or the thousand and one irritations of everyday life gotten the better of your beautiful complexion? Good news: the brand new “intense repair serum” from Uriage laboratories (Cica daily) for fragile skin lives up to its name, and provides rehydration in just a few drops a day. Tested on our return from a sunny vacation, we appreciated its almost immediate soothing and hydrating effect, which we owe to its formula based on thermal water, hyaluronic acid, tiger grass and vitamin B5. Of course, it’s not cheap. However, you should know that you only need to apply a few drops (bonus: odorless) in the morning, and the soothing effect is felt instantly. Finally, no more tightness. For even more intense hydration, combine it with the repair cream concentrate from the same range, still fragrance-free and surprisingly light, with equally intense hydrating powers.
Uriage Laboratories Intense Repair Serum (Cica Daily), $47, available online or in pharmacies
