“Expect me to stay a long time,” warns Legault

Prime Minister François Legault intends to remain in office for a “long time”, motivated as he is by the clean energy project and the French language file.

“It is far too early to talk about the next generation,” he said on Friday, when taking stock of his parliamentary session.

He previously described the battery sector project as “extraordinary”. Strategic minerals and clean energies, “it’s exciting and if only for that, expect me to stay a long time,” he said.

Mr. Legault also admitted to living a little eco-anxiety in the face of climate crises. “So we take action and we continue to take action,” he said. “But we will have to do more because beyond eliminating greenhouse gases, there is damage that has been done, the temperature has increased. »

In addition to the energy sites, the Prime Minister says he is completely inflated by the French language file.

“Me, one distant day, when I’m in my rocking chair, well, I’ll say to myself: ‘it’s our government that stopped the decline of French’,” he said.

More details will follow.
