The 19/20 takes you behind the scenes of an exceptional exhibition. the Musée d’Orsay, in Paris, pays tribute to the famous Catalan architect: Anthony Gaudiknown worldwide for the Sagrada Family from Barcelona.
Boxes of all sizes clutter the corridors of the Musée d’Orsay (Paris). Professionals are in the process of installing a gate that belonged to the first house built by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona (Spain) in 1885. “Gaudí could not do without nature as a reference”reveals Isabelle Morin Loutrelco-curator of the Gaudí exhibition. The exhibition brings together pieces of architecture, like casts found inside the Sagrada Familyextravagant cathedral Imagined by Gaudi to heart from Barcelona.
Drawings, photographs, sculptures…Iexhibition brings together nearly 500 parts, or twice as much as a conventional painting exhibition. The stage manager takes delivery of a curved dressing table designed for a palace in Barcelona. “The first thing to see is if there is anything that may have fallen into the crate, also see if the object has not moved during transport”he says. The exhibition promises to be rich, although most of the archives of Gaudi burned in a fire in 1836. The opening is scheduled for April 12.
