Evgueni Prigojine, the man who triggered Vladimir Putin’s speech on Saturday June 24, and who threatens to march on Moscow, is at the head of a paramilitary group of 25,000 men. Portrait.

Alongside his Wagner militia, close to the fighting, Evgueni Prigojine has made no secret of his political ambitions for months. Its strategy is to openly criticize the Russian army and its leader, Sergei Shoigu. Last May, in the midst of the Battle of Bakhmout (Ukraine), he did not hesitate to stage himself in front of corpses, and openly accused the Minister of Defense and the Russian Chief of Staff. Behind the provocation and the insults, the method is well established.

Yevgueni Prigojine does not hesitate to criticize the generals

Each of his appearances is filmed, in training camps, alongside the wounded or on the Ukrainian front. He has the image of a victorious warlord close to his troops, when the generals would remain confined to Russia. On June 23, Evgueni Prigojine again denigrated them in a video :What is the purpose of this war? The war was necessary for the self-promotion of a bunch of s***, to show how strong their army is, for Shoigu to be made marshal.
