Everything we don’t say enough about the magic of the “air fryer”

Yes, fries and chicken wings, it’s crunchy and tender just like I like inair fryer, but that’s far from being what made me fall in love with my household appliances. What united us is that it is used for more than 85% of my recipes and my touski.

In fact, other than boiling rice or pasta, it does almost everything I like. And I haven’t said my last word on this point that I want to test. To be continued!

A blender serves 2% of what I cook, a panini press quite a bit more, a microwave too. My George Clooney of the hot air kitchen allowed me to get rid of my toaster, it air fries without supervision since I close its drawer and it does its job until the beep sounds . His interview? I clean it with a wipe of a sponge and a drop of dish soap. Fewer dishes, therefore fewer dishwashers to run since I don’t use a pot or pan, less stove, therefore less electricity consumption, and exquisite cooking. The number one criterion, otherwise we wouldn’t be talking about it.

Without further ado, here are my delightful discoveries.

  1. Did you know that you can cook eggs directly in your air fryer? By removing the rack and placing your eggs in the bottom of the drawer, you can have sunny-side-up eggs in just 5 minutes. Personally, I like them with a little homemade or store-bought salsa, of my choice, which I place on the raw eggs as well as a little grated cheese. And in the second drawer, I toast my bread at the same time.
  2. Use your air fryer for toasting all kinds of nuts. Am I the only expert on burnt nuts in the skillet because I didn’t check them every second? First, I store them in clear jars in my refrigerator for optimal freshness. The transparency of the jars is super important. This allows me not to forget them, to vary them in my recipes. I pour some directly into my basket, having taken care to remove the grid: no need to constantly monitor them. You will get perfectly toasted nuts every time by playing with the time (2 minutes to start or more, if you like them well toasted) and at 400°F.
  3. If you forget to defrost a piece of protein, fish or meat, don’t worry. I season them with spices and cook them frozen as is. Do we cook our frozen chicken wings directly? This is ideal for those days when I’m in trouble because I forgot to defrost our dinner.
  4. Vegetables which have lost their freshness completely regain their vigor in theair fryer to grill them and give them some crunch. Whether it’s broccoli, cauliflower or carrots, this method will allow you to reduce waste while enjoying deliciously… crunchy and tender vegetables!
