An accident killed 52 people in a coal mine in Russia on Thursday, November 25. 285 miners were at the bottom of the mine when the emergency services were alerted to the presence of smoke. The rescue operation had to be interrupted in the afternoon, because too much risky. 46 minors and six rescuers did not survive. “An investigation has been opened to determine whether there has been a violation of security requirements”, comments Alexander Bezukladnikov, member of the inquiry committee for the region of Kuzbass.
