Estelle Lefébure buries Anne Hidalgo after her crushing defeat in the presidential…

Socialist Party candidate Anne Hidalgo came in tenth place in the first round of the presidential election. With only 1.74% of the vote nationally, she obtained the worst score in the history of her political party. A result that was unfortunately not surprising for her. These last weeks, the polls credited Anne Hidalgo with around 2% of the voting intentions. A prediction which therefore materialized on the evening of Sunday April 10, including in his own city. A result, which made the Web react a lot, including Estelle Lefébure.

In the capital, Anne Hidalgo did ten times less than in the second round of the municipal elections of 2020. The candidate for mayor of Paris won nearly 49% of the vote this year with 224,790 votes. In Paris, the PS candidate obtained 22,936 votes, or 2.17% of the votes. She therefore comes in seventh position at home. A situation that seems to greatly amuse Estelle Lefébure. On her Instagram account, she shared a photo of the losing candidate’s speech. On this picture, it is marked the following sentence: “Thank you to all the cyclists of the rue de Rivoli for having voted for me”.

To understand the message, you have to go back a few months. For the city of Paris, Anne Hidalgo wants a “100% cycling”. The “bicycle plan 2021-2026” aims to set up additional tracks, developed intersections or even limited traffic areas in the capital. A decision that has no more good numbers of Parisians who are obliged to take their car every day. This is where the fall of this joke shared by Estelle Lefébure comes.

The cold shower

A debacle which is therefore total for Anne Hidalgo. The mayor of Paris came first in five municipalities, all located in Occitania, historic stronghold of the Socialist Party. Among the towns concerned, three towns are located in Aude. These are Bouisse, Le Clat, which has 31 voters, and Fournes-Cabardès.
