The government has announced the end of the obligation to wear a mask indoors, including in businesses and cinemas, since Monday, March 14.

Since Monday March 14, wearing a mask is no longer compulsory in companies or in restaurants. “I didn’t remember the face of my colleague next door, it’s still more pleasant“, smiles Dimitri Gougoulis, employee of the Qonto company. However, some continue to wear it. “When there are people around me, it reassures me“, says Patricia Léo, also an employee at Qonto.

In France, however, the Covid-19 contamination rate is increasing again. In the company restaurant, the workers find themselves, without a gauge and without a place in staggered rows. In Lyon (Rhône-Alpes), customers of the Georges brasserie no longer need to show a vaccination pass to eat. In cinemas either, the mask and the pass are no longer compulsory. “It seems to me that we let go of too many things at the same time”, worries a woman, still masked. However, wearing a mask remains compulsory in transport and health establishments.
