The Rocky Hill, Connecticut Police Department released footage of an attempted car theft that was aborted thanks to the courage of the vehicle owner.

On April 10, in the early evening, a group of thieves parked in front of a residence. One of them quickly approached a car parked in the driveway and got into the driver’s seat.

The thief, however, did not have time to complete his crime, since the owner of the automobile threw himself on him and forced him out of the vehicle.

There followed a violent tussle between the two men, then the arrival of the thief’s three accomplices.

They tried to neutralize the owner of the car by kicking him, punching him and even hitting him with a shoe.

The fight, which lasted almost a minute, ended when a woman threatened to call the police. The four thugs immediately fled.

An investigation has been opened by the Rocky Hill police.
