President Emmanuel Macron is now campaigning. At a meeting in Poissy (Yvelines), Monday March 7, he unveiled his first promises. It undertakes, in particular, to abolish the audiovisual license fee.

First campaign trip to Poissy (Yvelines) and first announcement to boost the purchasing power of the French, Monday evening March 7, for Emmanuel Macron. The current president wants to abolish the audiovisual license fee: “It is consistent with the abolition of the housing tax, we must go to the end.” The France Télévisions teams met residents of Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin) who do not understand the interest of such a tax and are delighted with its abolition. But others want there to be a continuation of a “funding [d’un] public broadcasting”.

Valérie Pécresse is on the same line as President Macron. Marine le Pen and Éric Zemmour also agree, but go further. For them, it is necessary to privatize the public audiovisual sector. Another measure put forward by Emanuel Macron: a food check for the most precarious French people and the tripling of the Macron bonus paid by companies since 2020. Regarding the rise in the price of gasoline, time is running out. Emmanuel Macron has promised measures by the end of the week.
