In news disrupted by the war in Ukraine, President Macron tried to reassure farmers on Saturday February 26, on the occasion of the opening of the Agricultural Show. No marathon this year, but an express visit with a serious tone.

Inauguration of the Agricultural Show at a fast pace for the Head of State, Saturday February 26. After less than two hours on the spot, the president hands over to the Prime Minister, an unprecedented scene. Arriving around 7:15 am, Emmanuel Macron comes to try to reassure, because the conflict in Ukraine could have consequences on the entire agricultural sector. But the president was also challenged on the environment.

After his departure, it is therefore Jean castex who assumes the usual role of the president. He lends himself to the game of photos, tastes regional products and even admires the cattle. The absence of Emmanuel Macron disappoints some as the presidential election approaches. For others, despite this short visit, it is indeed a candidate they met in the morning. Most of the contenders for the Élysée will lend themselves to the essential exercise of the Salon de l’agriculture next week.
