Following a European summit in Brussels (Belgium), Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday March 25 that France, Turkey and Greece were going to carry out a humanitarian evacuation operation in the all coming days, from the besieged city of Mariupol, located in southern Ukraine.

Ruins everywhere. 90% of the city of Mariupol (Ukraine) is destroyed, more than 100,000 inhabitants would still be blocked the low. Civilians who have lived through the bombardments for a month let their distress burst out in the face of the rescuers. To protect these civilians, Emmanuel Macron wants to evacuate them from the city. While on Friday March 25, the Russians announced that they wanted to concentrate on the Donbass, in the east of the country, near kyiv, the Ukrainian forces claim to have taken over a village, and show the carcasses of Russian tanks.

A woman recounts having seen the Russian soldiers in difficulty. “The Russian soldiers wore our clothes. One of them had my women’s hat, my boots. They wore our women’s clothes. They stayed with us, they ate, they stole our money”, she says. Around kyiv, the Russian army seems to have stalled for several days.
