Emmanuel Macron will not receive the unions urgently, as was their wish. In a letter to the intersyndicale dated Friday March 10 and consulted by franceinfo, the President of the Republic affirms to the unions that the government remains “listening” on pension reform, while emphasizing that it is essential. He also assures not “underestimate” THE “dissatisfaction” and the “anxieties” the French.

“The government is, as it has always been, at your disposal to move forward through dialogue, find innovative solutions, without compromising on the need to restore a lasting balance to our pension system”writes the Head of State.

In a letter dated March 8, the intersyndicale thus addressed Emmanuel Macron : “You and your government remain silent before the expression of this powerful social movement.” Response from the President of the Republic: “The government has not remained silent, and I myself have answered questions from the French on this subject on several occasions on the ground, including recently.”
