The 24th edition of the La Rochelle Fiction Festival kicked off on September 13, 2022. This year, the president of the jury is Sandrine Bonnaire and she will have the heavy task of establishing a list of winners among 41 films in competition. To do this, she will be accompanied by director Arnauld Mercadier, screenwriter Caroline Bottaro, actor David Baïot, producer Gaëlle Cholet, actress Louise Monot, and composer Brice Davoli. Series The man of our lives was in the spotlight today as several members of the series team were present. For the occasion, the companion of Grégory Nicolaïdis made a remarkable appearance wearing a beautiful flowery orange dress. In fiction, she plays a young woman named Iris. In particular, she responds to Odile Vuillemin. The actress, sublime in a sailor top and white pants, plays Camille, a woman whose life changes when the man she loved has disappeared after having emptied his bank account. So she went looking for him and discovered that he had defrauded many women, including Mathilde (played by Helena Noguerra), Oriane (performed by Flora Bonaventura) and Solenn (Rani Bheemuck lends his features to the character). All were present alongside Jonathan Zaccai who put himself in the shoes of the crook with multiple identities.
Fictional actors The life ahead of you also made the trip. Christine Reboul (particularly known for having played Amélie Dubernet-Carton in Our dear neighbors), Maira Schmitt, Zoe Heran, Eleanor Bernheim and Tristan Zanchi posed for the photographers. The unit tells the story of Violette, a young woman of 16, who falls in love with Lisa. The latter wants their relationship to remain secret because of her very conservative family. And everything goes well until the day Violette is assaulted in the middle of the street while she was walking with her girlfriend. During her hospitalization, she discovers that Lisa, who has disappeared, knows her attacker. Many questions will therefore arise.
Finally, it was Patrick Timsit and Pascal Elbé who shone.
