Definitely, the royal family never rests! While each member found themselves at Buckingham Palace a few days ago to celebrate the platinum jubilee of Elizabeth II – and even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who had to travel quite a distance from California -, a new event has just been organized in the United Kingdom. On June 13, 2022, everyone dressed up again to attend the Order of the Garter ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
This is an official event dedicated to the most prestigious order of British chivalry. The one who showed a broad smile that day was Camilla Parker Bowles, the wife of Prince Charles. And for good reason: she has not attended the festivities since the hearing – unlike Kate Middleton or even Sophie Rhys-Jones -, she was part of the procession, as a member, for the very first time in her life. The Duchess of Cornwall joined this very closed circle on December 31. Her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, actually named her “Dame of the Most Noble Order of the Garter“.
