Elections in Venezuela | EU observers described as “enemies” by Maduro

(Caracas) Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday called “enemies” and “spies” European Union observers who came for the recent local elections, denying the irregularities pointed out in their mission report.

“Those who came as enemies, the delegation of spies from the European Union, did not find anything to criticize the electoral system,” Maduro said, criticizing “a report full of improvisations and bad drafted ”.

Candidates backing him won the vast majority of seats at stake in the November 21 elections, which aimed to nominate governors and mayors.
