Edmonton Oilers | Stuart Skinner back in net against the Canucks

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Oilers will turn to Stuart Skinner to defend their net Saturday night when they face elimination in their second round series against the Vancouver Canucks.

Skinner was replaced by Calvin Pickard for the fourth and fifth games.

Aged 25, Skinner was replaced by Pickard for the first time during the third period of the third game of the series, after he had allowed four goals on 15 shots.

Pickard made his first career playoff start at age 32. He helped the Oilers win Game 4, but then they lost Game 5.

The Canucks lead the series 3-2. The winner of this series will face the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference final.
