Just hours after the resignation of Ontario Minister of Labor and Immigration Monte McNaughton — the third in as many weeks — Premier Doug Ford carried out a cabinet shuffle on Friday.
David Piccini, formerly Minister of the Environment, Nature Protection and Parks, becomes Minister of Labor, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. It is Andrea Khanjin who returns to her former functions.
Vijay Thanigasalam will replace Todd McCarthy, who was named associate minister of transportation just two weeks ago. The latter becomes Minister of Services to the Public and Businesses.
This is the second time in less than a month that Doug Ford has shuffled the cards in his cabinet.
