2,430 kilometers between Brest and Medyka. Brestois Daniel Guianvarch, a former blue helmet turned truck driver, is on the way back, after dropping off medical equipment at the Medyka border post, one of the main crossing points between Poland and Ukraine, at the intention of Lviv Hospital.
On board his personal van, which can hold 1.5 tonnes of material, he took on board a stretcher, five wheelchairs, compresses, pocket glucose, extra bodily food, in other words able to feed the wounded or sick who cannot cannot swallow. Also material recovered from health personnel but also from individuals.

“I left with two Breton volunteers who stayed on the spot to help the refugees. We unloaded the equipment directly into a 38-tonne which was leaving for the hospital and the maternity ward.
