She, who says she shot the film 4 years ago, regretted its theatrical release on March 27, 2024, despite the Judith Godrèche affair. A position which raised the mustard in the nose of Dominique Besnehard, the former star agent and founder of the Angoulême Festival commented on an article from Premiere magazine, on Facebook, without filters. He shared: “I presented this film in Angoulême two years ago. It is a strong film which had great success during its presentation and because of problems linked to the denunciations of Judith Godrèche, the release of the film is in danger.
Comments that should shock many defenders of the MeToo movement, which aims to encourage women to talk about their attacks. And Dominique Besnehard doesn’t stop there. Regarding Nora Hamzawi in particular, he says: “In any case I can tell you that the weak point of the film is the interpretation of this actress who does not want the film to be released. She’s not the actress of the century. Besides, I didn’t understand Jacques Doillon, who always had an eye for actors, could have chosen this bad one.

As a reminder, after the complaint filed by Judith Godrèche, Jacques Doillon is targeted in an investigation for “rape of a minor under 15 years old by a person in authority, rape, violence by a partner, and sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old by a person in authority“, during the filming of “The 15-year-old girl”, released in 1989. He informed AFP via his lawyer that he was attacking Judith Godrèche for defamation.
