DJ Snake, “at home” star, ignites the Parc des Princes in front of 60,000 spectators

DJ Snake was at home at the Parc des Princes on Saturday June 11 in front of more than 60,000 people. Two years after having thrilled the Paris La Défense Arena, the most listened to French artist in the world has once again demonstrated his popularity within the confines of his favorite club, repeating “Here, it’s Paris!” (slogan of the Parisian supporters) on stage.

A form of consecration for the artist who celebrates his 36th birthday on Monday, William Grigahcine, his real name. The child from Val-d’Oise, who in his own words has become the“unofficial ambassador” of PSG, has been able to export his passion for football and his electronic music to the four corners of the world. “Since I was little, I’ve been coming to this stadium to support my football team and meet tonight for a solo concert at home, in this city, it’s a crazy thing”he let go, microphone in hand between two songs.

Turn down for what, Lean on, Taki-taki… For more than two hours, DJ Snake offered his most popular titles in a neat staging, between light effects and fireworks. Without speaking about Disco Maghrebhis latest title, whose clip shot in Algeria ignited the web with more than 20 million views on YouTube barely twelve days after its broadcast.

Several distinguished guests punctuated the evening such as Omar Sy in the role of the luxury ambiancer to make the Park dance with a new slogan: “This is Snake City!”. In an ode to the multicultural France he wishes “represent” around the world, DJ Snake also invited the Algerian singer Cheb Khaled, who performed his hit Aisha.

This tribute to the “elders” who inspired it could not be done without the presence of David Guetta, “the legend that opened so many doors for us” says DJ Snake, or the Belgian star Stromae. “Without David (Guetta), there is no Snake“, he underlined, before concluding his final bouquet with his tube let me love you.
