Among his many collaborations, the most remarkable is undoubtedly that with Marc Chagall. It is the richness of their exchanges that we invite you to discover, as well as different facets of the work of Yvette Cauquil-Prince.

Romans of the Cities, Romans of the Fields

The exhibition Romans of the cities, Romans of the fields? is based on recent discoveries of dwellings from the Roman period made during preventive excavations. It illustrates the planning of the territory, the habitat, the daily life, the human activities, whether they are domestic or artisanal and gives us an image of these populations by means of objects resulting from archaeological discoveries.

For its presentation in Sarrebourg, the initial exhibition has been significantly developed to provide a summary for the Pays de Sarrebourg sector. This will be an opportunity for the public to discover many objects from old or recent excavations and rarely presented which illustrate daily life in our region.
Illustrations based on local archaeological discoveries make it possible to better represent the territory during Antiquity of accomplishment and creativity.
