India: Discovering Pench National Park

Pench National Park inspired the adventures of The Jungle Book. The 13 Heures takes you to discover it, Friday, September 20.

In a forest in central India, a little man was abandoned in the jungle and raised by wolves. You probably know this story, it is that of the Jungle Book. It was inspired by the Pench National Park (India). All the characters in the work are said to have been born there. Tourists can visit the park in search of the wild animals that populate the story of The Jungle Book.

The luckiest ones can thus see the famous black panther, or the master of the place: the Bengal tiger. In this immense forest, it is more than difficult to spot the animal. And for good reason, there are only 80 tigers in the entire park. To put all the chances on your side, it is better to be accompanied by a guide with a sharp eye. However, this picture is not always idyllic. At the edge of the forest, cohabitation between humans and animals is sometimes difficult.
