The trailer for the adaptation of the Catalan series Red bracelets was unveiled on Tuesday. The series, which will air on TVA from the start of January, is directed by Yan England, who helmed the fifth and final season of Upper country.
Red bracelets, which will have ten episodes, takes place in a hospital where young patients are given “bracelets of courage” before having an operation. It revolves around the friendship that binds seven of them.
We recognize in the trailer young actors who have already been seen on the screen for several years, including Noah Parker, Milya Corbeil Gauvreau, Léanne Désilets and Anthony Therrien.
On the adult side, note the presence of Sébastien Delorme, who had already been announced. To embody the parents, but also the nursing staff, the cast includes a slew of actors, including Isabelle Blais, Frédérick De Grandpré, Marcel Lebœuf, Julie Beauchemin and Catherine Renaud.
Series creator Albert Espinosa was hospitalized for 10 years for cancer treatment and drew inspiration from his own experience to write it. The texts of the Quebec version are signed by Michel Brouillette and Stéphanie Perreault.
