Dino Scala, accused of 56 rapes and sexual assaults, tried from June 10

Clara is one of the 56 alleged victims of the man who would be one of the worst serial rapists in France: Dino Scala. Married, father of five children, president of a local football club, he allegedly assaulted and raped for 30 years between the north of France and Belgium. Lurking in the shadows on the banks of the Sambre, he attacks women in the early morning, or very late at night. The man is like an elusive ghost, the victims never see his face.

In 2018, he ended up being arrested, confused by surveillance cameras and a composite portrait. Today, Dino Scala acknowledges 50 of the 56 sexual assaults and rapes for which he will appear. “He is a predator, a hunter. (…) He says himself that what he likes is to watch, to know who he is going to attack, when“, explains Master Caty Richard, lawyer for victims. Dino Scala describes himself as having a split personality. He said he was relieved when he was arrested, and faces up to 20 years in prison.
