Originally, this playoff game was to be held Thursday evening, but it was postponed 24 hours by the Courteau circuit.
The QMJHL explained that “since Game 4, which took place on Wednesday, required three periods of overtime to declare a winner, the league considers it more prudent, for the well-being and safety of the players, to postpone the decisive game. See you Friday “.
Riley Kidney scored at 16:14 in third overtime and the Titan defeated the Mooseheads 4-3 on Wednesday for Game 5.
This game was the longest in the history of the Mooseheads, who have been part of the QMJHL since 1994-95.
Due to the postponement of the Titan-Mooseheads game, there will only be one game scheduled for Thursday in the QMJHL. The Rimouski Oceanic will cross swords with the Saint-Jean Sea Dogs.
