Since 1924, celebrities and tourists have been walking the wooden boards of Deauville, in Calvados. The promenade continues to inspire dreams.

Since 1924, the Deauville (Calvados) boards have been iconic. “It’s the movies, it’s the history it represents, it’s also the American film festival”explains a man. The town’s wooden promenade is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Designed at the same time as the new bathing establishment, the planks are imagined as a ship’s bridge to connect the cabins to the beach.
