(Istanbul) The violent earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday has exceeded 17,500 dead, according to a latest report released Thursday by the authorities in the two countries.
Some 14,351 people were killed in Turkey according to Turkish Vice President Fuat Otkay and 3,162 people in Syria according to official reports, bringing the total number of victims to 17,513.
