April 24, 2021 was a sad day, that of the death of Yves Renier. It was his wife Karin who announced the bad news to AFP. The disappearance of the actor at the age of 78 has upset the world of cinema but also of the small screen. Starting with Jean-Luc Reichmann, who played the late comedian in Léo Matteï, minors brigade, on TF1. In the columns of TV 7 Daysthe host of 12 noon shots remembers Yves Rénier’s last words to him, by telephone…
The death of the star will forever remain painful for Jean-Luc Reichmann. Especially since before leaving, Yves Rénier sent him a last message that he now treasures. “A few hours earlier, he left me a message, with his voice, like that, very serious: ‘You’ve still hit hard, dad…’ A message that I will always keep on my answering machine, to remind me of his voice“, he tells our colleagues.
The 61-year-old host but also actor continues and pays a beautiful tribute to Yves Rénier: “I had a lot of respect for what he represented. It was an honor for me to have him play in Leo Mattei, as he was no longer accepting roles. His pleasure, he now found in directing, in composing the image, in structuring the stories. Our complicity was all the more marvelous as he didn’t let just anyone into his bubble. I was very touched when his wife thanked me for offering him this last role.“
Recall that at the announcement of the death of the actor, Jean-Luc Reichmann had shared his sentence on social networks. Via Twitter, he had shared a photo of him accompanied by Yves Rénier. “Yves… Tell me it’s not possible. We were still on the phone yesterday. I kiss you like I love you“, he wrote in the caption.
The two men had known each other for many years now. They both marked the viewers of TF1. One in the presentation of games then in the main role of Léo Matteï, minors brigade. The other as a key character in the hit detective series Commissioner Millbroadcast on the front page from 1976 to 2008.
