Singer-songwriter Mélanie Renaud died this Tuesday, at the age of 42, following cancer.
The Quebecer of Haitian origin died at the palliative care center in La Prairie, in Montérégie, her agency MoonSun Musik wrote on Facebook.
During her career, the singer topped the charts with her success I blame myself, which appeared on his first album entitled My freedom, released in 2001. She also won a Félix in the “Revelation of the Year” category in 2002.
From 2005 to 2006, she then played the role of Esméralda during the performances in Quebec and France of the musical Notre Dame de Paris.
His record Wirepublished in 2017, was inspired by her fight against ovarian cancer.
