Death of Régine: Bernard Montiel pays her a final tribute, around an unknown passion…

It is a beautiful tribute that his friend Bernard Montiel wanted to pay him. But also the Animals TV channel, which decided this Saturday, May 7, 2022 to broadcast an old program, dating from 2016, in which they had the chance to receive Régine. Died on May 1, 2022, as announced by her family in a press release to AFP, Régine maintained a lesser-known passion for animals. At 5:30 p.m., Animaux TV therefore broadcasts this interview with The big Zoa by Bernard Montiel about his nightlife but also his animal friends.

Indispensable figure of Paris by Night, she has owned pets throughout her life, especially small dogs that have been loyal to her for a long time (see our slideshow). This tribute show is also an opportunity to look back on the thousand lives of Régine. And this is not the first nor the last tribute that the singer will receive. In her life, there were not only the night and the small animals since Régine had become the mother of an only son, Lionel – fruit of her story with Paul Rotcage – unfortunately deceased in 2006. And had a very special relationship with his granddaughter Daphne, his daughter. “Régine has lived a thousand lives, so her departure is not premature, in the sense of unfair. I’m rather relieved about that, because she didn’t want to age too much at 92. I shared with her her last week, her last day, her last moments (…) I think it was in good conscience that she chose to leave“, reported the latter.

Where will his funeral take place?

The world of the night and much more broadly that of the show is in mourning since his disappearance. Following the death of Régine, to whom we owe the hits The Great Zoa Where I will Survive, his funeral was announced by his granddaughter. They will take place on May 9 in Paris. The ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Père-Lachaise cemetery crematorium, Salle de la Coupole, as reported. An event that should see many personalities pass by, all marked by the disappearance of this icon.
