Gaspard Ulliel is no more. The 37-year-old actor, revealed in The Lost of André Téchiné alongside Emmanuelle Béart, is dead. On a ski vacation with his partner Gaëlle Pietri and their six-year-old son Orso, the actor suffered a heavy fall. Despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, the doctors could not do anything. This Wednesday, January 19, Gaspard Ulliel succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind him the whole family of the cinema in mourning – which paid him a magnificent tribute during the Festival of Alpe d’Huez – but especially his own. The hero of Saint Laurent is unfortunately not the only actor to have been mowed down in full glory.
Jocelyn Quivrin, to whom he had given the reply in the film Jacquou Le Croquant by Laurent Boutonnat, also died suddenly at only 30 years old. On November 15, 2009, he was driving an Ariel Atom, a high-powered two-seater when he lost control of the vehicle on the highway. The accident will leave him no chance.
His disappearance, like that of Gaspard Ulliel, had left everyone in shock. The tributes had multiplied, hailing the talent of Jocelyn Quivrin and underlining the indelible mark that he would leave behind him. As proof, twelve years after his disappearance, his great friend Jean Dujardin paid tribute to him. As upset as Pierre Niney for Gaspard Ulliel, Nathalie Péchalat’s husband published a snapshot of the two actors now reunited in another world: “2 lives, 2 angels” he soberly captioned, causing nostalgia among Internet users.
