(Évry) They did not want their sister to interact with boys: two brothers and two other young people were indicted (charged) for murder on the night of Sunday to Monday after the death of a teenager who was beaten up in the suburbs Parisian, an affair which caused a stir in France.
Two of the accused – a 20-year-old adult and a minor – were imprisoned while two other minors were temporarily incarcerated before an adversarial debate on Wednesday, for having beaten the teenager, Shemseddine, 15, on Thursday, leaving the his college, explains the Evry prosecutor, Grégoire Dulin, in a press release.
“The entire nation is in mourning”, reacted on X the Minister of Education, Nicole Belloubet, after the death of the schoolboy on Friday from his injuries.
According to the first elements of the investigation and the statements of the accused, cited by the prosecutor, the brothers had learned that “their sister corresponded with people of her age on subjects relating to sexuality”.
“Fearing for her reputation and that of their family, they had ordered several boys to no longer have contact with her”, then “learned that the victim boasted of being able to freely” speak to her, having not been pressured by their share, added Mr. Dulin.
With two acquaintances, they went to the college where they came across Shemseddine “by chance”, according to their statements cited by the magistrate.
They allegedly asked him to follow them for “an explanation”. “The tone rose and blows were delivered, causing the victim to fall,” continues the prosecutor.
The older brother would have contacted the emergency services, but, “to ensure their escape”, says the prosecution, and would have given “false information” to the police.
Three of these young people are known to the courts.
Still according to the prosecutor, the investigation established that the 15-year-old sister, taken into custody on Friday with the group, was absent during the events.
But “serious and consistent clues” allow us to “consider that she was informed of the intentions of her brothers”. He had requested against her placement in an educational establishment and a ban on appearing in the department.
The teenager died four days after another violent attack against a schoolgirl in Montpellier (south), linked, according to the prosecution, to “invectives” between students on social networks.
Three minors aged 14 and 15 who admitted the facts were charged on Friday with “attempted intentional homicide”.
