In Algeria, the nightmare is happening again. The summer of 2023 is once again devastating on the fire front. At least 15 people died. 26 others were injured in the north and east of the country.
Vacationers take refuge on a beach. Flames lick their hotel residence. The scene takes place in Béjaïa, in the northeast of Algeria. Resident of the hotel, a father appeals for help on social networks. “We escaped from the residence. We managed to take refuge on a rock with my wife and my children. There is all the black smoke and the heat which comes on us“, he explains.
Fires in the land too
The whole region is in the grip of violent fires. For several days, the temperatures have been extreme, they have reached 48 degrees. In another video, the adventurers of Béjaïa beach let it be known that they were able to be rescued. Fires also broke out inland, such as east of Algiers (Algeria).
