Danny Maciocia confirms the departure of assistant coach André Bolduc

After eight seasons on the team’s coaching staff, André Bolduc is leaving the Montreal Alouettes to join the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

General manager Danny Maciocia shared the news in response to a question during the press conference to introduce Jason Maas as the 27th head coach in team history on Tuesday afternoon.

The announcement also confirmed information revealed Monday by journalist Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette.

Bolduc held the positions of instructor responsible for the running backs and assistant to the head coach.

Maciocia also announced that several assistant instructors will be returning in 2023, including Anthony Calvillo and Noel Thorpe.

Besides, Mario Cecchini will not be back as team president. Asked about this, Maciocia chose not to give more details.

He stated that he had not received an offer to become president of the Alouettes and that he wanted to be the team’s general manager.
