Towards the end of May 2023, Léa Salamé hosted an issue of Quelle époque in which she had invited several personalities including Camille Combal, Alice Pol, Matthieu Madénian but also Basile Boli. The former footballer was present for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the victory of Olympique de Marseille in the Champions League. Bruno Le Maire was also around the table to talk about literature.
On the occasion of the release of his book Un peu plus loin, rapper Pone from the Fonky Family recounted his fight against Charcot’s disease, which he has suffered from since 2015. By videoconference from his home in Toulouse, the musician delivered a message “resilience, resistance and courage” which brought a few tears to the set. In particular on the side of the ex-candidate of Dancing with the Stars, whom he knows personally. “Beyond the sporting aspect, there is the immeasurable happiness and pride he brought to an entire people. This is what remains and will remain forever. Basil knows what I’m talking about. I have only one thing to tell you Basile: thank you and go OM!“. Christophe Dechavanne’s curiosity led him to ask the former sportsman what Pone meant. “No, it’s between us”, refused to explain Basile Boli. “Thank you very much, he doesn’t know Pone, but in fact, he brings tears to all of our eyes around the table, you are not aware, but we tell you, so that you know“, concluded Léa Salamé.

But Pone also showed a lot of humor. While the host was talking about the difficulty of writing a book for her guest, the latter replied: “I don’t consider writing a book to be a feat, if I had known that to make a hit, you had to talk about purple acorns like Bruno Le Maire, I would have made an ass book”.
A tasty punchline that amused the audience!
