Dak Prescott is determined not to be the worst in the NFL in this category

Dak Prescott’s next season won’t be as disappointing as the last, he predicts, especially when it comes to performance.interceptions.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback had 17 interceptions in 2022, an unfortunate personal best. It also put him atop the NFL, tied with Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.

Prescott threw 15 in the regular season, and had two more thefts in the playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers.

“I will not have 10 interceptions this year,” he promised in an interview with the daily. Fort Worth Star-Telegram published on Monday.

Obviously, the 29-year-old veteran feels that this stat shouldn’t have been so high. Without blaming his teammates, he believes that it is not 100% of her that is his.

“I know who I am, and you can take half of those interceptions away from me. I’m not saying it’s necessarily the receiver’s fault, but if I had half that, we wouldn’t even talk about it,” he said, pleading a lack of communication.

The Cowboys seem on track with two straight seasons of 12 wins and five losses. Head coach Mike McCarthy is building a good group and, according to Prescott, the young offensive line will be better equipped in 2023.

“Offensive guys need to understand where we are. Mike does a great job with these guys. They know where to stand, why to be there, and know when they are being watched. It will make a big difference,” he said.
