On May 12, 2022, in Veigy-Foncenex (Haute-Savoie), the lifeless body of a 10-year-old girl was found near a fire. She was strangled. The father, Cyrille Picard, is nowhere to be found. In a context of separation, he became suspect number 1. According to investigators, he first headed to Paris, where he tried to burn down his parents’ apartment, before hitting the road towards the South-West.
