The pleasure increases with the use of Saturn in Capricorn, the second mini-album of the host project by singer-songwriter (and incidentally photographer) Marc-André Dupaul. At first listen, we remember the slight irritants that appeared during his visit to the last Francouvertes, these oddly articulated songs, his sibylline texts, his voice muffled under the sound effects. chimeras and Halo opening suffer from the same ailments, which lessen on Sickle, Dupaul finally letting the fragile timbre of his voice be heard. Then turns out Honest, a formidable art rock groove, on which Dupaul and his orchestra achieve the sought-after balance between sound experimentation and rock song with texts. The rhythm, the textures of guitars and synths as well as the aesthetic vision of Dupaul and his co-producer Étienne Dupré (collaborator of Klô Pelgag) approach the approach of a solo Thom Yorke. We would have taken a whole album on this tone, made lighter on the very beautiful title song in conclusion.
