Crimes and testimonies – The Diaboliques de Saint-Vit: Kelly’s incredible survival instinct

With “Crimes and testimonials”, the news podcast of France Bleu, discover “Les Diaboliques de Saint-Vit”. One Saturday afternoon in March 2002, life changed for schoolgirl Kelly. Two of her friends left her for dead in an abandoned building in her village in Doubs.

This terrible story took place in Saint-Vit. Saint-Vit is a town of 5,000 inhabitants, about fifteen kilometers from Besançon. In a disused old retirement home from the village, on a Saturday afternoon in March 2002, Kelly was tortured by two of her friends, two schoolgirls like her. That day, the three girls have lunch together, then they go to the abandoned building. They start drinking beer. Then they “play” at slapping each other. And there it goes wrong. The game turns into a butcher’s shop. One of the two torturers pulls out a knife with a 30 centimeter blade. Kelly is beaten with broken bottles, stab wounds. The adult world has never understood how the two young girls turned into executioners in this way.

For the podcast “Crimes and testimonies”, Marion Streicher, from France Bleu Besançon, investigated “Les Diaboliques de Saint-Vit”. A podcast to listen to on francebleu.fr and on the Radio France application.
