The Covid-19 makes new cases every day, but the people who die from it are much fewer than before with a simple reason: the vaccination.

“There were almost 20 million lives saved in 2021 thanks to vaccination and almost six million in Europe alone”says Damien Mascretbased on the figures of theImperial Middle School of London (United Kingdom). The university relied on the potential excess mortality figures observed if the vaccine had not been found.

Other studies have been carried out, particularly in France, to be able to study the consequences of the vaccine. Damian Mascret Explain : “INSEE calculated the excess mortality observed in France in 2020 without vaccination and in 2021, despite vaccination. We can clearly see here too the formidable first waves and all the same the excess mortality of the following waves. In 2020, INSEE calculates an excess mortality of 46,700 deaths due to Covid-19, and in 2021, all the same 39,100 excess deaths.. The journalist ends by warning about the possible rebound of the pandemic.
