Quebec reports Wednesday 11 new deaths attributed to COVID-19 and a drop in hospitalizations.
The number of hospitalizations is 1,073, a decrease of nine compared to Tuesday. Fifty-six people are in intensive care, down from ten.
The death toll is 14,213 since the start of the pandemic.
The Ministry of Health reports 1,380 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 939,650 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 109,859 rapid tests, including 85,975 positives, have been self-reported on the government’s online platform so far. For the day on Tuesday, 447 tests were declared, including 359 positive.
The Ministry of Health says 13,452 tests were carried out on Tuesday and the positivity rate is 10.6%.
As for vaccination, 4462 doses have been administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 87% received at least two doses and 52% received a third dose.
