Quebec added 20 new deaths linked to COVID-19 to its balance sheet on Tuesday, in addition to reporting a slight increase in hospitalizations.
There are currently 1,082 hospitalizations, up five from Monday. An increase of five patients in intensive care brings the total there to 66.
The death toll now stands at 14,202.
The Ministry of Health reports 1,023 new cases, for a total of 938,270 infections since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 108,969 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the platform set up by the government, including 85,236 positive. For the day on Monday, 487 tests were declared, including 388 positive.
The Ministry of Health indicates that 10,068 analyzes were carried out on Monday and that the positivity rate is 8.3%.
Regarding vaccination, 3850 doses have been administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
