While the contaminations are very numerous, the Minister of Health calls on the French to be vigilant by adopting the wearing of the mask without however making it an obligation.

Tuesday June 28, the mask is still not compulsory in public transport, but it is now recommended by the government. An incentive that does not convince most users. “I work in a school and we don’t wear a mask, so there you go, I don’t think it’s more dangerous in transport than in schools”explains a Parisian at the exit of the tramway.

Covid-19 contaminations have been on the rise for three weeks with 55,000 new daily cases. So, for some, wearing the mask is a reflex. “For me, the Covid has not completely disappeared. I see it starting again, so I think that to protect ourselves, we have to continue the mask, even if it’s hot”explains a woman. Making the mask compulsory in transport is not relevant for the government. The Minister of Health prefers to speak of incitement.
