COVID-19 | Spain reduces quarantine for positive cases

(Madrid) The Spanish government decided on Wednesday to reduce the duration of the quarantine of people positive for COVID-19 to seven days from ten previously, the health ministry said.

According to Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, this measure is intended to strike a balance between “public health” and “economic growth” at a time when the surge of the Omicron variant is raising fears of destabilization of the economy, as elsewhere.
