“This tool makes it possible to obtain a recommendation on the instructions to follow, depending on whether the person has symptoms compatible with COVID-19 or has been in contact with a case which has been declared positive”, informs Quebec.
“It is also possible to do this self-assessment for a child or another person,” we add.
Note that due to the epidemiological context and in line with the recommendations of the Committee on Nosocomial Infections of Quebec (CINQ), Public Health is issuing new isolation instructions for people who have had COVID-19 since December 20. .
Thus, a person who has obtained, since December 20, 2021, a positive result after a NAAT test or a rapid test, or who has developed symptoms after having been in contact with a positive person at home, does not have to self-isolate or perform screening tests if:
- She develops symptoms of COVID symptoms again such as cough, fever, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell;
- She is again in contact with a case of COVID-19 at her home.
