Quebec reports on Monday a new death linked to COVID-19 and an increase in hospitalizations.
There are currently 1,115 hospitalizations, an increase of 27 from Sunday. Fifty-three people are in intensive care, down from three.
The death toll is 14,325.
The Ministry of Health reports 1,614 new officially declared cases, for a total of 959,212 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 128,148 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 101,747 positives. For the day on Sunday, 1,292 tests were declared, including 1,085 positive.
The Ministry of Health indicates that 11,400 analyzes were carried out on Sunday and that the positivity rate is 14.8%.
Regarding vaccination, 4886 doses were administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 87% received at least two doses and 53% received a third dose.
